How soon can I cancel after I ordered the Helmet album? I'm definitely all set after this one.

Amazon UK has the 4LP version for $61 shipped to the US. Ordered a placeholder there in case it's super expensive or unavailable at US shops.

Happy for the Everclear fans (who have been spoiled by Intervention Records!), but I really hope Marcy Playground gets Shapeshifter on vinyl.

When I looked there were 10! Yellow Dog Discs had it. I don't know why I don't start there - they've saved me the last 2-3 years! And it was cheaper.

I think the Oldies sale was an anomaly, and they'll probably think about doing it again once they get everything from the last one shipped out.

How did I miss that Shivaree's I Oughta Give You A Shot In The Head For Making Me Live In This Dump finally got a vinyl release (and came out a couple weeks ago)? I thought I was subscribed to Music On Vinyl's newsletter. Anyway, I'm very excited.

Maybe? But that's just one of many factors and probably exaggerated. It's not like labels are multiplying the target number of copies equally with each variant. Except maybe Adele. There's almost always a cap in place for each variant. And I'm not saying it can't happen, but I work with a lot...

Or they're just giving record shops a chance to make some money? If someone is buying 10-15 variants of any album, who cares? Most people are just going to buy the one the like best or can find cheap. Weird watching you all get upset about this particular album for that particular reason...

I've heard so many stories about Newbury making bad financial moves over the years. At least moving several stores into malls with no traffic wasn't shortsighted. They're just playing the long game.
