I’ve been listening to Emma Ruth Rundle’s Engine of Hell, and aside from being blown away by how good it is, I’m also digging how fantastic it sounds. I have this version (black vinyl), and SQ-wise, it’s perfect.

Any idea why these are readily available from Karl’s shadow store and not on the Tuff Gong site? They take their time replying, but it does happen.

Not entirely sure but they seemed to want to avoid bots to an extent. Some were on the Tuff Gong site and sold out immediately.

Took a few days for them to reply and then more to send the invoice to initiate the purchase. I have no idea if I was dealing with Karl, although I did address my communications to him. He may have had to go into dark/incognito mode due to the site receiving more inquiries for UHQRs in a month than all other inquiries in the site’s history combined.

Looks like Miles Davis - Cookin AP repress is happening end of March for those who wanted it. AP is repressing most of the Prestige series again for those who missed out on some. Relaxin and Steamin beginning of April.

Man. The KPG/Hoffman ZZ TOP Tres Hombres pressing is crazy good. Also crazy expensive at this point but dang, they did a great job.

That whole Cinco First Five LPs box set was such an amazing thing. They're all available individually now but I'm glad I snagged the whole box for less than a hundred back when it was in print 3 years ago. Those records are on my turntable a lot. highly reccomend anyone getting those Rhino ZZ Top reissues, especially from the first five box.
