I'd still be down to do a fund raising auction where those of us who want donate records, whoever bids, and proceeds go to the site. I figure some might be more able to give a record than funds and others might be more likely to donate money if they get a record too.

regardless of my very seldom contributions, this is a community that must be preserved.

@RenegadeMonster has disabled them until all the old photos are done transferring over. Very slowly.

And apparently pauses transfering when my mac goes to sleep.

Going to look into use the AWS Command Line Interface to copy the assets this weekend and hope that works better than uploading a folder through Chrome.

thank you everyone. we'll let you know when we are ready to hold out the hat. as for what we need, that's what we're figuring out, but the last round got us 4+ years of operations so hopefully it won't be much and we won't need to do any fundraising again for some time.

we are officially off of our old hosting platform and on aws. @RenegadeMonster has worked hard to make this happen and other than the images issue things have pretty much gone off without much disruption, so public kudos to him for the time and effort put in.
