I'm a big "Lazer Guided Melodies" fan. It's nice that the 4 mini song suite tracks have been broken up into individual tracks on streaming platforms. I also think that the last two Spiritualized albums are really good. "And Nothing Hurt" and "Everything Was Beautiful" both really hit the target...

5-10-15-20 (Your Music Through The Years)

Adam Scott and I are almost the same age, and we seem to like a lot of the same artists, so reading through his write-up on Pitchfork was a familiar experience for me. I don't have any overlapping picks with him, but his journey up to this point has been very relatable. Adam Scott on the Music...

I saw them live in support of their first album, and let me tell you, those harmonies are even more sublime in the live setting. They sound absolutely amazing together.

Really enjoyed the SNL Homecoming concert special overall, but I wish they would have let Robyn perform ‘Dancing On My Own’ solo all the way through. That started out as such a killer performance, and as much as I love David Byrne, I don’t feel like he added enough to the second half to really...

I’m partial to “The Story of The Clash, Vol. 1”, but Neil’s “Decade” is indeed an excellent comp.

I’ve now seen “A Complete Unknown” 3 times. There’s probably only one or two other films I’ve ever paid money to see in a theater 3 times. It’s not the best film released in 2024, but it is the film that I enjoyed the most from 2024. And as a Dylan fan, I’m thrilled with the way the movie turned...

    The Grammy Awards Thread

I know most are sick to death of her, but I thought it was classy of Swift to toast Beyonce’s win with Jay Z. The only other one I thought might win was Charli. I like her, and there are songs on “brat” that I put on my 2024 favorites, but I honestly don’t think the album as a whole is all that...

    The Grammy Awards Thread

Honestly, this is the Beyonce album I’ve connected with the most. I’ve liked individual tracks along the way, but I enjoy a lot of “Cowboy Carter”. I’m happy she won. It was overdue, but she also earned that.
