Yeah for sure. Surreal is a perfect word lol. School was never my son’s thing, has a good bit of ADHD and needed an IEP (which helped tremendously), but he did it, and we’re so proud of him!
Genuine question…what am I missing with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill that makes it appear on just about every top albums of all time list? I can usually understand albums I don’t like making it for their impact on music overall, but did Lauryn Hill do this? It isn’t even that I don’t like...
Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On
Easily my favorite album from them
1. Untrustable / Part 2 (About Someone Else)
2. Stop the Show
3. I Would Hurt a Fly
4. Velvet Waltz
5. Kicked It In the Sun
6. Randy Described Eternity
7. Made-Up Dreams
8. Out of Site
Good point. Definitely misremembering his films at that point in his career. Perhaps it’s that he was known for his dramatic work when After Hours came out, and not black comedies. 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah After Hours and The King of Comedy were definitely a change of pace for Scorsese, I think that’s why I like them so much. Don't get me wrong, I like Scorsese, but how many mobster movies can he make?
