Off to a festival. Combination of excitement, dread at having to sleep in a tent again, and a general feeling of being too old for this shit.

My wife and I were talking about this earlier in the week - whether listening to music while playing games works. She can't do it, but I maybe can depending on what the game is.

Watched Twisters. Meh. Might have been a better experience at the cinema, think you need the big sound stage to have the full impact.

I knew Man U sucked, but it hadn't quite sunk in that they are 14th! Wow...

Was given a voucher for my birthday, and of course proceeded to spend 3x the value! Picked up the latest Floating Points, the new Delivery, and a King Gizz on vinyl, and picked up Battles, Hope, and Bloc Party on the cheap on CD.

Slept on Los Angeles by X for far too long. What a great album!

Might be of interest to some. Glasgow band returning after about 20 years off. Hard to describe, but female fronted (with a hint of Life Without Buildings) playing the noisier end of alt-indie.
