if I found myself with an extra $700 I would probably upgrade in the future, but most likely not in the next year or two.

humminguru runs for about 30 seconds at the start of cleaning and then cancels itself out. Does this on Auto and Clean function, but if I do the Dry function it spins and dries completely.

Anyone have any recommendations for a 10inch record case? just looking for something simple so I can store them somewhere separately from the 12inch records.

man the plx-1000 table I ordered, while I know was used (it was marked as excellent condition) arrived with a completely shattered cover and missing the power cable/phono cables.

yeah taking it back today. called up the shop so at least I'll get some store credit.

it's got the raised texture of droplets on the disc and its just tiny little things too. feels like paint to me.

Anyone ever get small flecks of paint off a disc? I bought a copy of Miles Davis' "Water Babies" the other day and when I got home the disc had all these flecks on the disc. Before I take it back to the shop figure this might be a good opportunity to see what the process would be to clean this...

yeah we’ll see. I know they do it, but so far this is my only 4th time doing it and I’m still buying/selling the regular way. Maybe I’m just lucking out for now.

I’ve been recently finding that sellers don’t mind you dm’ing about a record and selling off site. I just procured a crispy copy of ESG - Come Away With ESG for a fairly reasonable price just by chatting up the shop runner briefly. Glad I shot my shot.
