Definitive Audiophile pressings

What is the best version of Jeff Beck's Blow by Blow?

I have an OG copy, incredible recording, but my copy is a bit too noisy for my liking. It's old, bought it used, has some wear.

I see Analogue Productions did a 2xLP 45rpm. I'm sure that's amazing, but kinda leaning away from all that record flipping.

Looks like there is a 2021 US pressing mastered by RKS, uncertain where it was pressed. Can be had for $21.99.

Also some older Friday Music pressings. I'm unfamiliar with that label. They use the original tapes? Actually looks like this is a Kevin Gray cut.

I see MOV did a pressing as well.

Looking for a AAA copy that I can just FUCKING CRANK!

I would avoid Friday Music pressings. They claim to be audiophile but a dozen of theirs and every single one has been crap. And they're way overpriced.

I have rarely had a bad MOV pressing.

If you want AAA, you should look for a clean OG or a Japanese issue from the 70s and 80s. They all sound good (I’ve listened to several versions over the years). RKS should sound good too, although it might not be AAA.

I just discovered Sony Japan put out Jeff’s entire Epic studio catalogue, including albums previously unissued on vinyl. Great, need to spend more money.

@uvwxVinyl if one of the German ones doesn’t have it this is the link to spindizzy, their shipping is usually fair and you obviously avoid the customs lottery being eu.

They’re still supplying it shops outside the states, spindizzy here had a pile up for pre order last week and I’m sure hhv will have them too. My old mofi is brilliant too but it’s likely gunna be spendy.
Yea I knew a shop had it in the US for $20 a few weeks ago which seemed strange given it’s sold out at VMP. Wasn’t sure how available it was elsewhere. I think it’s pretty great. Love the MoFi too. Really wish they would repress the 45 at some point.

I’m a fan of your local so @uvwxVinyl you should be able to buy with confidence from them for shipping!

I have the Bella Donna on back order with them. I like the rhino but I’d like to hear what RKS did with it. I can pass on this one because I don’t think it’ll be better than the copy I already have.

I have an OG of Tusk that’s very good but I’d love a real nice audiophile version of it. Given they’re Warners it’d make a great rhino hifi title.

The VMP is great. Not sure what it costs now. The MoFi is good too but probably more expensive.

There is a 2x45 that Bellman cut that’s $150+ 😞.

I just sold my 2 x 45 Bellman cut of Fleetwoood Mac , it was pretty good, but not outstanding, my Tusk Japanese og bested the recent Bellman cut, sounds amazing!!

Thanks! Is that out of Ireland?
