It really took seeing him live. Seeing a couple of twenty somethings singing along to Mr. Tillman like it was a love song written for them made me realize that I didn’t want to understand FJM or his fans.
I was among the many that absolutely fell head over heels for I Love You, Honeybear. But I've never made it more than twenty minutes into Pure Comedy without turning it off.
I liked a good percentage of God's Favorite Customer, although "Please Don't Die" basically blows all of the other songs on the album out of the water.
