I really want to be able to get into the website and I’ve definitely ordered from artists direct from there, I just wish there was a way to DISCOVER new artists I might enjoy or filter between artists who have vinyl available because I feel lost when I go on their website and I’m like “ok, well now what”. Maybe there is a way and I just need to spend more time with it.

@Tys1 I find the Bandcamp Daily part of the site invaluable. Some of the best music journalism out there. You can also select genres you're interested in somewhere on the site and get an email update every Friday with releases you might be interested in.

If you scroll 3/4 of the way down the main page, you can limit by genre and format available. Not a great method but it works.

@Tys1 I also recommend the Bandcamp Weekly podcast. It comes out every Tuesday and it's a few hours long, but they highlight some of the best of bandcamp including older music that was recently pressed--and they mainly just play music with a little bit about each track or album.

@Tys1 I'd also just recommend buying from your favorite artists through bandcamp. Whenever [xyz band] puts out a new album I always buy it via bandcamp because it's the easiest way to access the music whenever I want. Downloads never expire and it's fun to build up your bandcamp collection.

I prefer the app over the website. That said, I have a wishlist of albums that I may pick up this Friday
