Let them know how you'd never heard of that publication before and how insightful and refreshing you found the writing; and what else you found of worth there...then link them the most ridiculous articles you can and see if they share your enthusiasm or figure it out. Conclusion: You may have to end a relationship.

Send them articles from the same site and say did you see this one? Then keep going until they get it.
If they don’t get it I point out the fact that I love good satire and I’m happy that said articles were done in jest.

I stopped in to post the things that have been said already.

Give them the benefit of the doubt; it is 2020 after all.

No lie some non satire stuff in 2020 had me thinking it was satire on first glance. Crazy times.

Back when I had Facebook and such, there were people that, when I'd point out something was a satire or a hoax, would say "oh, well Obama WOULD have said/done that, so it's basically true!" (Apparently I haven't had social media for a while)
