I mean this will be the third different local shop that I've cleared out of this pressing of this album, but as long as I can find more locally I'll keep returning these until I get a good one...
I have this record, and while I'm not picky/not an audiophile, my copy does sound a little flat, the record itself is fine, flat, no pops or cracks. Maybe my system is not as fancy and can play a record with some "excusable defects" compared to yours. I've spun it a couple of times and each time I have to crank the sound higher than usual to hear it at a good level.
This is an album I have listened via digital to way more than I'll ever spin so I'm not too concerned about the pressing. Not saying that your complaints are invalid.
Julia Jacklin mentioned she had been listening to the album and all ai could think was ‘wait, is it actually pronounced that way or is that just her cute Australian accent?’
