  • Trying to justify spending more at my local for good pressings of some of my favorite albums. His prices are always higher even on bad pressings. But he has access to MOV pressings and I'm really tempted by them, even though he said they'd be $30-35 for a single LP and $40-45 for a double LP.

I am trying to get to my local store more--though my local store is 20 miles away. I'm always torn with this, but I try to throw some money to the local guy`because not having a local record store for several years made me very appreciative of the couple that opened one one town over.

I agree with @nolalady. As being in the same position with no real record shops close to me(same vicinity) I kind of feel bad not giving money to my local record store. The people who owns the record store about 30 minutes away, I couldn't say better things about them. I saw they were selling a record on their discogs i've wanted one Sunday(a day they're not open).

We chatted back and forth and I bought the record over the app and paid shipping. I paid shipping even though he got up, met me in town, opened his shop to let me see it and test it and talk about the music. I would gladly pay more for releases locally.
I'm getting a watch from my company for my 10 year anniversary with them. I don't really want/need a watch. I think I'll sell it and use that money to buy an amp.
