Echoing @zomgbear with Big Calm (I even got the CD signed by the band when they came through Montreal way back when), Felt Mountain and The Magnificient Tree - those were big ones for me in the "beyond Portishead, Tricky and Massive Attack" category.

@Mather TTL has Unkle's Psyence Fiction here. They had it in an email blast about a month, I'm surprised it's still available. Not sure if it's a true 2023 repress, or they found copies of the older repress.

that repress sounds great! I recently grabbed it. I didn't think about it but yeah that album fits the vibe of downtempo / trip hop too.

@blenoxsmith thanks for the heads up! I can't order direct because they charge truly insane amounts for shipping (nearly $40 just in shipping costs) but maybe I'll do the old go between thing which usually saves a bit.
