@zomgbear QOTSA Songs For The Deaf CD had a hidden track "0" but it's low frequency bass tones that supposedly could only be "heard" up by deaf people.
I only knew of one and that was Autechres EP7. Its neat but I probably would not listen to that track every time as that track is 10 mins of rewinding to listen lol
speaking of bonus tracks - i didn't like when artists tacked a bunch of bonus tracks at the end of the last track so if you wanted to just listen to the later ones, you'd have to fast forward.
This was spurned by some filter album that is on that weird consequence industrial list. There was silence for forever and I thought I must have paused it and then saw that it had been playing the song for like ten minutes or more.
I don’t necessarily hate hidden tracks. I like the NIN extra disc on broken. I like it when it is just another song or when there are like twenty blank tracks that basically count down to it. It’s the we made this song stupid long for you to get a twenty second Easter egg shit that super bugs me.
One that rankled me was "Debra" at the end of Midnight Vultures. But that's because I liked the track and would have liked to put it on mixed CDR's, but I couldn't because of that damned huge silence space that doubled the length of the track. Yes, I could have used editing software, but that's extra work. Seems like it's been fixed in the latest streaming versions (but it still wasn't a few years ago on Spotify).
