Todays the day where you miss the Pac NW a bit, isn’t it?

I've done 80 but also depends on what your home's humidity is inside

If I do 78 in the living room I know the upstairs is pushing 82.

@TenderLovingKiller® not the first day. That was when I was seeing the first sunny days. But this weekend will be one of them for sure.

@Melt Face Molly Drop yeah I'm not sure about humidity getting in yet. I'll need to see.

I'm just trying to not go broke from my electric bill

Are you going on vacation or just worried about your bill? Turning your thermometer up and down will increase your electric bill from making it work harder than it needs to everyday.

Both. Sometimes it's just the day. Other times it's for days/werks

So we are insane and have ours set at 68 (all year long). We set it on like 74 for vacation. Your ac should control humdiity regardless though, unless it’s a window unit.

That is insane. Are you originally from Alaska?

@MyWifeHatesTrain I'm guessing 68 would be too expensive but if I could I'd have it set there. I usually set it to 70-72 then use a strong fan

Does your thermostat have a scheduling function? when I was regularly going into the office we’d basically let it warm during the day and then schedule it to hit 72 around the time we got home, saved us a few hours of unnecessary cooling.

I don't think it does

Yeah a smart thermostat or programmable might save you some headache.

My electric company gave me 2 free Google thermostats (saves them money in the long run). Worth looking into
