Idk, I think I've just come out of the whole thing liking Kendrick even more than I did before. He's a rapper and it's not uncommon for there to be beef in rap. Besides, Drake sucks and it's been extremely cathartic to watch his downfall, even if he eventually recovers like he did from the Pusha T thing.
Idk if that makes you old. But personally I’m coming out of this a with my love for him reignited and I may like him more now than I have since like 2017
@MyWifeHatesTrain but that would have been so much mess fun for so many of us. As a lifelong Drake-hater, it was absolutely delightful to watch him get absolutely outmaneuvered and eviscerated – ESPECIALLY with the final nail coming in the form of a certified club banger! Whole thing made me feel young again for half s minute!
I also feel like the takeaway from the tracks Kendrick made is that Drake was worth the energy in his eyes. It clearly pissed Kendrick off that the most successful artist in his genre was someone that he saw as the antithesis of everything he tries to represent, so for him, it was about drawing a line in the sand & clarifying to everyone how little respect he has for him as a contemporary.
If you think Kendrick still has some moral high ground over Drake, you must just be getting your news from social media. They’re both trash humans. So no,it doesn’t make you old, just sensible.
@DJSJ Kendrick has always had some iffy beliefs buried in his music (like the MJ line on TPAB, and Kodak on Mr Morale). I think he is more good than bad but this is making the bad stand out more. I’m alittle hypocritical here but I do look past that stuff because his music is that good and he does do a lot good
