Buy or build some bat houses and place them around your property. Your mosquito population will dissipate quickly. Each bat can knock out a few hundred mosquitoes a night.

We live in an area with tons of Mexican fruit bats in the summer. It makes very little difference. If I could ask God one question, it might be "why mosquitos"? It's as if God just wanted to make an insect whose sole purpose was to be an a-hole and didn't he already do that with wasps?

Mosquitos have been insane the past couple years in LA, so the county released millions of sterile male mosquitoes into the wild earlier in the breeding season to prevent hatches. So far, it's worked! There's exponentially less biters, it's actually possible to be outside after dusk now 😎

You gotta have a population of microbats (insect eaters) as opposed to megabats (fruit and nectar eaters).
I also had the same question about wasps in the past. Found out they're major pollinators and vital to the vegetation system.
