Nope. Even personally Covid was the peak and the end of last year was a bit of a saturation point. The quality of reissue titles sucks, the price is going up, people aren’t stuck at home anymore and it’s likely not a growing market demographic.

Vinyl is expensive and people are having to find ways to save money in this economy.

I take great pride in being a statistic.

Price went up 30% in 2023, volume goes down 30% in 2024. Yup. Sounds about right.

I’m definitely buying less new stuff, and less stuff overall.

Yeah my buying has gone down exponentially the past couple years (bought 48 in 2022, 18 in 2023 and just 9 in 2024). I pretty much have any album I really want so anything I am buying is something (new release or new to me) and a random odd and end I might be missing. I just don’t need to buy as much for my collection and I’m not taking chances on random stuff anymore because of the price (like when I joined Vmp)

It’s because of all the people buying 3 and cancelling 2 albums during the target sales

New releases or re release with no remaster no gatefold $50 single lp sure will decrease sales. All of that before shipping too…

Yeah @skalap… I thought about posting how a 15% decrease in subs and a 20% increase in price makes it all even.
