a video for a track called “Ohio All The Time” featuring a bunch of punk kids drinking beer in the back of a pick up while rocking out in the middle of a field might be the most Midwest thing ever. I am here for it.
@TenderLovingKiller® I actually had no idea where they were from even though I’ve been a fan of them since their inception. Surprisingly hits all the notes of a midwestern band but they’re from Brooklyn.
@wokeupnew Ha! yeah, I looked it up too and though the band formed in Brooklyn the original members had been friends since attending the same in grade school in Calabasas CA so maybe the split they difference.
I think with their emergence around the same time as Horsegirl, them having a sound that seems somewhat influenced by grungy Chicago acts like Veruca Salt, Liz Pair, etc.. and that they were signed to Polyvinyl made me think they were from the Midwest.
