Lord Huron with Waxahatchee opening in the end of July sounds great. Having to buy that ticket next week and give them a free 6 month interest free loan when I don't actually know if I can go let alone with who is not great

I bought a Fontaines D.C. ticket for mid-May back on the 1st of November. I can probably make that show but, yeah, anything can happen.

Same goes for album pre-orders. I bought the new Sasami album several months ago and I don't even know when it comes out.

The pre-order was in September and the album isn't out until March

I feel like pre-orders are a little different because you'll still get the item no matter what. But with shows you might have no idea what you'll be doing and if you can even make a show 6+ months from when you buy the tickets.
