while I agree that Neil Young. The Beatles, and Bob Dylan have a multitude of great albums I feel like they are perhaps a bit over represented on this list. Also while they were right about a lot of their selections there are a handful of songs listed that I genuinely love.

Yeah this is weird. And the writer seems legitimately angry that some of these songs exist. That ain’t what music’s about maaaan. Like you said, way too much 60s-70s representation. Threw in some Swift to throw us off the scent,

I am fine with anything that leads to a good discussion about music. The track that I immediately scrolled to make sure was present for this list to have any validity was The Beach Boys “Student Demonstration Time” which is a dog shit track.

The song that surprised me the most with its inclusion was Dylan’s “Lily Rosemary & The Jack of Hearts” which is legit one of my favorites on Blood On The Tracks.

Also, “The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill” isn’t the best song on the White Album but it fits well in a perfectly imperfect sort of way similar to “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road” or “Rocky Raccoon” none are singles but work well within the context of the album.

My thing is RS has listed all these albums in like the top 40 albums of all time. If they're better than 99.9% of all other albums, how are there any superfluous or bad songs on them at all? Silly.

speaking of the Beatles. I completely understand why people hate “Run For Your Life” given the themes and Lennon’s history I get the derision. While that songs not my favorite it’s not the worst either.

@ayayrawn i think the biggest difference is those “greatest album of all time” lists they usually get a bit of a consensus where a bunch of music people are putting the list together. This list, though published by RS, is authored by a single dude, Andy Greene.
