how did award shows suddenly become really good

This is how it was in the 90s and early 00's

I loved award shows in the 90s the early 00s!

I think I said this last year, but I hate how they do the nominations for the acting categories now. I don't want to hear the presenters toast each nominee. I want to see clips of the acting. Especially for the movies I haven't seen yet.

They fixed that this year though? But agreed.
