OK, so my next question is going to make or break the opportunity for me. No pun intended given both of you attended U2... but I have vertigo history and I'm concerned about whether or not the "experience" might trigger an episode. Definitely not interested in paying top dollar to end up in the hospital.
I will say, I don't have Vertigo but I have a severe fear of heights. I wouldn't sit higher than the 300 level if that would apply to you. The worst for me would have been the escalators getting up to my section but I used an elevator no problem. There was only one song during U2 that felt like movement which did kind of mess with my mind a little bit but other than that I was fine.
Also, another tip from one of my regrets...if you enter through the indoor walk way through the Venetian you won't get to see the exterior up close. It takes you right into the lobby.
I've just been out for the strip, shows, and sporting events. There weren't any other attractions that interested me, at least that I knew of at the time.
We saw the final two U2 shows at Sphere. It's an incredible venue - absolutely stunning - and the sound is beyond description. Seriously, there are no words to adequately explain how it's loud but not loud at the same time. You have to experience it for yourself.
As for motion sickness... there was really only one song that was difficult (I had advance warning) I did take dramamine ahead of time and was fine throughout the show. I did look down during much of the crazy song, but did peek and was astonished that it didn't bother me.
I've had motion sickness my entire life - can't deal with 3D or IMAX or any of those 270º screens without feeling nauseous, but I had no issues at Sphere. I think the dramamine did its job (Actually, I think what I took was called Bonine)
I have no fear of heights, however, @dbarila is correct - the upper levels are ridiculously steep. The escalators to get up there are so long. We had lower seats & GA, but made a point of going up to the top.
We didn't sit up there, we just wanted to see it. I'd NEVER buy seats above the 200 level. The 100's were excellent and I always prefer GA floor, which was incredible at the last night of their run. A friend had 300's and had security move her. She ended up in accessible section.
I saw Dead & co there last year, and thought the experience was incredible. I also just got back from another trip to Vegas a couple weeks ago. A couple things I enjoyed for the 1st time on this trip was Absinthe @ Caesars Palace, and also spent most of a day wandering around the Mob Museum which I thought was super interesting!
