I remember seeing the Staring at the Sun music video on MTV2 all the time and thinking it was one of the greatest songs ever. I also remember this wining the Short List Music prize which I don't think even exists anymore.

I can't say that I have. But that's a trend that definitely does not need to happen. 45 minutes is the perfect album length.

My only complaint about this is my same complaint about most 90's hip hop albums. It's probably about 3 or 4 songs too long.

I saw Smash Mouth at a radio station festival back in 1999 and they opened with "Running With the Devil." It was the first time I ever heard that song. What a time to be alive!

Van Halen is a band that has never been super interesting to me. But it was perfectly fine. This album had all of the songs that I like on it.
