January 2: Andor’s Resolve – Play something that embodies resilience, or quiet determination. Blue October - Approaching Normal Not my favorite album of theirs. But it's certainly the one that brings a voice to arriving on the other side of loss, depression, uncertainty, and feeling betrayed.

This event proves every year that I have very different tastes than the group, and that's OK. The last 5 years of this process I was able to say four of my albums made the top 20, never closer. And to be clear, that's 4 total in 5 years, not 4 each year. 😂🤣

Seems it would be very worthwhile to streamline them and add results each year once they're available. Of course, I'm speaking matter of factly so it's not as I don't already understand how much an undertaking this already is. Thank you, Rip_City.

2025 begins with change. Sold my Cary DMS-700 to afford the MoFi MasterPhono. It's not even warm yet and I can confirm the MoFi "Master" coupling is my end game TT/Phono Pre. It took 9 transactions and 2.5 years to make it happen, so this time I mean it. Big props to the MoFi crew in Ann Arbor...

Cracked open Ben Folds' Sleigher last night since it feels close enough to the season for which it was intended. Different than I expected but definitely still worth the pickup if you're a fan.

Another reason I didn't mind overpaying a bit for BTE.

BTE appears to be SO everywhere, leaving me confident in eventually overpaying online. (80) PR had STP, and that was the only other one I was after. Already have the Explosions on CD, so decided against it this time.

Went all in on vacuum tubes recently and no longer need the space heater in my listening room.

Currently deliberating over holding off until Christmastime to listen to Ben Folds' Sleigher, or rip into it now.

Certainly didn't wake up this morning yearning for a layoff, but yet here we are. Stupid political uncertainty. 🙄
