I recommend watching the "Traitors Uncloaked" hosted by the excellent comedian Ed Gamble. We watched it after each episode and theres lots of behind the scenes bits and interviews with the contestants that reveals gameplans etc. Its only 20mins per episode so quite manageable.

I havent seen the US one yet, but I've seen all of the UK ones and love them. Each season has been slightly different which I enjoy. Season 1 had a naivety to it as it was new to the contestants (assuming they didn't watch the original Dutch version, which is quite different anyway) and to the...

The Latest News from Neptune - a Sun Ra thread

I thought you might have been a science teacher: "Of course people can survive in the vacuum of space. Sun Ra came from Saturn for gods sake!"

    2025 Reading Challenge

Book 3 - Guess Who by Chris McGeorge (Hanover Square Pr, 2018) A cheesy looking "who done it" at first glance but it was quite a fun read with the odd unexpected twist. Nothing too fancy but decent all the same.

I can’t quite believe the speed of which they sold. Vol 1 is sold out and Vol 2 has 86 copies left (and only because it took longer to list for sale). Madness. I ordered both. 😂

    2025 Reading Challenge

For sure, I find I have to pace myself otherwise I could read the whole thing in just a few sittings. When it comes to books I typically try to buy from charity shops to provide a bit of support. I've lucked out with 3 of the first in the series (different visits) but it's becoming difficult...

    2025 Reading Challenge

Book 2 - The Expanse Book 2: Caliban's War by James S. A. Corey (Orbit, 2023) I've been slow on the reading so far this year because of a busy work schedule, but I did get chance to read the 2nd book in the epic Expanse series. I watched the show a few years ago and loved it and have since made...

This might be of interest to some people. A Tubby Hayes compilation. He was a fantastic poster-boy for British jazz and his music really packs a punch. This will be a decent comp for anyone looking to get into his music.

    Fresh Grabs

I thought I responded to this but must not have pressed reply! Enjoy, its a great collection of records and I'm surprised it wasn't more popular. Some of the albums are more of what I would assume is straight ahead gospel, but plenty have a more funk driven approach. Great fun!

I've had an account for years now posting daily and in all fairness I have received a few freebies over that time. Not enough to sell up and retire though :ROFLMAO:

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

For the past few months I have been listening to and sharing each record from VMP's Classics series on my Instagram each Saturday. I actually joined before they even had subs so I would probably listen to one of the earlier releases that I wouldn't have really heard otherwise, like Wells Fargo...

Definitely but they were around for a while if memory serves me. I seem to remember seeing the Big Bill Broonzy’s around for at least a few weeks.

Just 1st Feb so far. I doubt they will sell instantly, but they won’t hang around for too long.

£200 ish I would say. Their Big Bill Broonzy Vol 1 and Big Bill Broonzy Vol 2 were £100 each.

As a rough guide. The last double Artisan releases from Sam records were £100 and £110 each. So not cheap.
