finally found a clean US original of “Veedon Fleece” for $10 at half price books. what a gorgeous album. i caved and got the VMP a couple years ago but i think the slightly rolled-off, inviting sound of this copy better suits the album than the dryer, more detailed sound of the digital...

that low print is exceedingly well done.

crossing the red sea with the adverts great punk record, recently acquired reissue pressing is decent but kinda flat sounding. guess i’ll keep looking out for an original…

any royal headache fans in here? aussie band that made two of the best punk records ever and then split in 2017, but they’ve got a live record out friday. seriously excited. their singer, tim “shogun” wall, may be the best vocalist i’ve ever seen perform, so much passion and wild intensity...

how’s this pressing? this album was formative for me but i imagine a noisy copy could completely transform the experience

this album by my favorite japanese indie band almost never comes up! i pulled the trigger last month on the only copy online, through mercari/buyee. it was a little pricier than i'd have liked, but not so bad considering the rarity, and who knows how long i'd be waiting for another if i missed...

this is always the most fun genre to browse just on the basis of album titles and band names. if i see a title like “apple pie motherhood band” or “through a window/hard meat,” i’m going to need to pull those out and see what the hell those covers looks like
