Just built this monster of a cable to replace the standard one on the Jolida 801ARC I bought from @kvetcha. It needs about 100-200 hours of burn-in time.
Echo Audio and The Music Room are the ones I check regularly.
Hifi Shark is a good aggregator. If you’re looking for something specific you can setup alerts, see historical pricing, etc.
One thing I would add is don’t overlook the secondhand market. Upgrade-itis is real and, once you know what you want, you can stretch your dollar there. Nearly my entire system is secondhand. It’s saved me literally thousands of dollars.
Thanks, I’ll check them out. I’ve been keeping an eye on the Zu auctions as well, but I don’t have much experience with speaker cables. I’m not really sure how much of an improvement or change I can expect from one to another.
Slee also gives a discount to people who are active on his forum. I demoed the Accession and the Reflex. I actually preferred the Reflex in my system. I thought the soundstage was bigger with more separation between the instruments. It gave the music more dimension. The Accession is more capable...
The Graham Slee phonos are pretty great. I especially liked the Reflex. If you check out the GS forum, they have a loaner program if you want to see how it sounds in your system.
Thanks for the update. It looks like a fun project, but I was curious if it actually turned into a main component in your system or, as you describe, became something that mainly piqued interest in their top dollar amps.
