The sound is most likely different but I don't expect to get more out of the vinyl if the vinyl setup is already fairly hi end. It's all new frontier. Tape saturation, dynamics, etc.. lots of things to learn.

I was at $1300 for the Otari, which was very reasonable IMO. However picking the right machine is key. It gets costly buying the wrong one. There's a video of a guy on his 3rd or 4th machine because he jumped too quick 😬

There's no HD in a Node. But it works great with windows as long as the BS app is loaded on the PC/laptop. They talk across the home network here. Just sync some settings that are a little tedious to figure out.🤓

I do my own but I buy specialized protractor, VTA blocks, etc.. It's really not too technical but I'm sure some experts can take it to the Nth degree, especially with a microscope or something.
