it was also happening on the last song on Side A of A Night At The Opera, but its not an issue on anything else I can remember. My Kind Of Blue that I played yesterday sounded fabulous, no harshness on Miles at all.

last question, is it possible that the inner groove distortion is the LP's fault? There is a really loud demanding song that ends side A on Maggot Brain and every time the vocals hit their high, it distorts.

so since the grooves are tighter inner grooves, it only reveals distortion in the inner grooves and not the rest of the LP, right? That would make sense then.

I don't put them through a RCM, but the brush I use is pretty great at getting all of the particles off the LP before spinning. I admit I should be doing more, but the spin clean does not seem like that great of an option, and I don't want to fork over a ton of money. Definitely an issue. I...

Checking against my gauge, it is pretty dead on. I can just see the tip of the stylus when looking dead on from the bottom of the gauge. I ordered a new stylus, as I am close enough hours wise anyway. Additionally, do y’all think its could be the Microline stylus revealing a bad pressing?
