Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

I was ok with the tape cost (the blank tape and reels cost an insane amount on their own) but once I found out a proper deck is around 10k usd I realized it wasn’t for me.

I love it when gear is aesthetically pleasing, my Lintons are the nicest “furniture” I own.

My buddy that I work with lived there for 20 years and told me the same, I appreciate everyone’s input on the subject. Tucson is definitely a little more desirable because there are simply fewer people.

I want to move somewhere that has as good or warmer weather than Washington, doesn’t have restrictive firearms laws, the lower the population the better. I’m thirty four but I have early onset boomer.

Tucson, I have a coworker whom could set me up with a golf job there, houses are affordable there and Phoenix. I haven’t visited Tucson, I went to Phoenix twice last year, I would have no problem with the heat in the summer, but there’s so many people there in peak season, however I don’t go out...

Phoenix is my top choice, Tucson is second. Golf courses are plentiful, but it’s one of the worst regions for pay. The warehouses are also plentiful, and transferring would be possible but harder than most regions. My dream would be Phoenix and be able to work part time at The In Groove along...

Golf Pro means I already run the golf course, there’s no money in my industry, guaranteed I’ll never make as much as I do now working anywhere else. I think my goal should be to continue to save and hopefully I can justify the loss in income by moving somewhere I can make an enormous down...

The biggest difficulty for us is that my fiancée works at Costco and I am a golf pro. She will have the same income any warehouse she gets accepted at, I would have limited options and likely make 50% less. I am so risk averse that it makes it hard to contemplate, but so is living here forever.

Went digging for the first time in a year to my favorite not so local store. Didn’t find much but did come away with a nice original mono “Another side of” Bob Dylan.

Just wanted to check in before the end of the year to say I love you all. I feel it necessary to remind everyone here how much it means to me to have a like minded community of music, record, and gear nerds to solicit advice from, share finds and gear purchases with, and to simply be a part of...

Second year in a row I get to have thanksgiving at my apartment with my fiancée (preferable for me) already spatchcock and salted the turkey sitting in the fridge, stock on the stove, hot dish in the oven, about to start the cranberry sauce. Fiancée made a German chocolate poke cake for dessert.

Always feels great to get rid of stuff. I’m big on not having too much “stuff”, if it weren’t for my records and the requisite kallax’s I could fit all my belongings in the back of a suburban. I’m constantly purging, have to keep it under 4000 until I can afford to buy a house.

I’ve gotten to the point where I want to purge records, which is a constant when you have this many, but there really isn’t any more low hanging fruit. This is going to become a challenge.
