If you liked Skyrim you would definitely like this. The open world is beautiful and engaging. The combat is really hard to master, but satisfying when you get it. I would definitely recommend it.

It was feel good. It fits a desperately needed hole. I think it didn't necessarily end as strong as it could've but we enjoyed it. Apparently they may bring it back.

lol. I just looked through my old emails and sure enough, Brian is somehow still the only person on sympatico. Dude couldn't sign up for gmail or anything? Is he 100?

It looks like he contracted a company called Chameleon Creative to do his site. I'm guessing that was well over a decade ago since the link is no longer valid. I think I tracked down their new site, and while better than the Record Cellar site it still screams "old". Their work is very...

Has Short Stack come back in any way shape or form? I discovered their little place outside of Trinity Bellwoods way too late and was pretty sad they closed down, it was a neat little place you could score a decent amount of used records.

I've seen the trailer for Conclave and I cannot get over the "Cardinal Voldemort" aspect of it.

Hey, I can actually answer this question. Yes. I ordered The Beat from them a couple of months back. Overall positive experience. Came in good condition exactly as described. Brian seems very communicative too. They're legit despite the shit website. Think he quoted me about $13 for shipping...

If anyone happens to check out "A Thousand Blows" this weekend do let me know how it is. I kept asking the wife to get into Peaky Blinders and she never could get past like Episode 2, but she seems to be slightly interested in this one.

It floundered a bit, definitely, but still managed to keep our interest. Not something that we'd continue watching if it stayed the course, or had any drop in quality in season 3, which looks like the case.

Going to have to keep me updated on this one. The first couple of seasons were great, we enjoyed the hell out of them. I've read a couple of early reviews on the newest season, and they said it's not good. Same with Yellowjackets. We bumped both shows off our to watch pile for now.

Canadaland shipping shenanigans (and other conversations too, eh?)

I picked up my Kendrick preorder, other than that I'm pretty much tapped out. Haven't bought anything else in months.

Yes...? At least from what little I've played of Skyrim. No dragons or anything. Just straight medieval RPG. Systems seem pretty complex and there's definitely a learning curve

Started Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Haven't played the first one. It's filling a niche I didn't even know I wanted.

Is it some kind of rule when British people are on a show you have to have no less than 2 actors from game or thrones? Watching 1923 and there are two so far. Day of the Jackal had three, which was our last watch. Every time, someone from got pops up.

Lost definitely has a lot of bloat for sure. That's an indictment of the network. It can be a bit of a slog but I think the massive size of the cast helped it along a bit. Twin Peaks suffered the same. Lynch planned for a shorter second season but the Network wanted more...leading to some...

Lost is strange. It didn't stick the landing the first time for me. The second it somehow clicked. The ending is super divisive and I've managed to be on both sides of the fence.

Lost was definitely flawed...but when it hit, it hit deeply. The pilot sucked you in like no other show, the mysteries kept you hooked. The characters were memorable and then every now and then you'd run into an episode like the constant that would emotionally destroy you. The Sopranos is top...
