Thanks everyone, I‘m ordering some grease, as I don’t have any that is appropriate for a turntable around. Really hoping it’s just a lack of grease.

No, I was surprised when I checked, as I assumed it had to be.

Tried cleaning bearing and spindle again with Q-tip, still no luck. Here is a short clip of the sound. I assume this sound is not normal.

Thanks, yeah the light friction sound doesn‘t bother me, but the fact it stopped completely twice while listening is what’s concerning.

Yeah, I’ve taken the platter off and reseated it a couple times. When I manually spin without belt, it spins freely, but i still hear the friction sound. The bearing looks ok to me and there is at least a little grease on it, as I can smell it.
