I used an 8” level and tested it in multiple spots. My question is shims or adjust the feet? I tightened the feet down and use paper or business cards under them.

Stopped by a B&N this morning…they had maybe 14 50% records and a couple Adele’s for 25% off. I saved 100%! It was my first time in there for a few years and I live three miles away. This particular store now has a big selection, but at full MSRP.

I use Tekton speakers with a 2.3 watt amp, Zu is another high efficiency modern speaker. As for Klipsch, they are very efficient but their sound isn’t for everyone. For those sensitive to highs they may not be the best choice.

It's very close. A week or so ago I decided to experiment with isolation. I made a platform to go under the table and then put isolation pads between the platform and my rack. Anytime I move the table, I break out the level to check it. I was messing around with it again yesterday and want to...

And the level...Looks like I need to adjust the headshell slightly.

AT OC9III This is a thin record, didn't try a 180g which should bring the cart slightly up. When I place a tiny button level on the head shell, it's close to level. Maybe I'm splitting hairs, overall it sounds good, just a slight bit of sibilance on some records.

My arm is all the way down as low as it will go and I could use another just shy of 1/8th. I need to add a shim on top of the cart.

I went a more analog route for a remote...older pic with the JD9...and my wife HATES it! Her desk is in the corner to the left and if I fall asleep at night and forget to put it away she gets upset. She doesn't want to touch anything audio related in the house.

I was pleasantly surprised with my DHC2 power cords. I also have a DHC-3, it accentuated the highs too much for my liking. Put that one on an old Denon AVR in the garage and it does well there. Haven’t tried the Decware interconnects, I made my own with Mogami 2497.

I could be wrong, so don’t take my word on it. From what I’ve read, the only damage on a Decware amp is when a rectifier tube goes, it will blow the fuse on the power outlet. Good to know if you’re into the after market fuses. However, if a tube is questionable and you try it you may end up...

Not sure if the bias adjustment is indicative of older or worn out tubes. My SE84 is self biasing. I have a Jolida 1102 with bias adjustment screws, but no meters. Just turn them until a led lights up. Anytime I changed tubes on that I had to adjust the bias. So my gut tells me your older...

I don’t think I even realized both the OA3 I own have clear glass. One is a RCA the other a Sylvania. All the tube letter/combos make my spin at times. In any case, I believe a few variants work for the OA3, I think an OC3 works, tighter bass but less too end. Joe Mac, what pre did you end up...

To be honest, there's no right or wrong way. What I did was write down all the tubes I had and created a matrix. For each combo I wrote down notes. I want to say it took a few weeks, leaving different combos in for a few days. I started with rectifiers first, nothing scientific just where I...

Here ya go! https://wathenspeakers.com/store/p66/Decware_Tube_Bundle_for_TORII_JR%2C_TORII_JRx2_with_EL34-WC_power_tubes.html That’s a lot of cheddar! I have no experience with cryo’d tubes and for me the cost is a bit too high vs my curiosity. I will say, my Decware stuff is very responsive to...

Looks awesome! In case you're not aware, the red tipped tubes were "hand picked" by Steve for superior qualities and he marks the tips red. I've got a Tung Sol with a red tip that came in my ZP3, it's ok but after some rolling I'm not using it. As always when it comes to tubes, YMMV.

The warranty turnaround takes about a month to get back and they put new tubes in. Most of the tubes used can be found for decent prices, but you might want to weigh that out. Then again, if you get new tubes they always transfer over to the new amp…in a few yrs! Excited to hear what you think...

I believe there are a few people on the list who have gotten used gear to 'hold them over'. I got my ZP3 from a guy who had done just that, when he got his new pre, he put the used one up for sale. I think I'm the 3rd owner on that one now. I'm still thinking about getting on the list, but I'm...
