The first self-titled album by Dee Dee Bridgewater (1976, Atlantic) is her 2nd, and it is a soul/funk album even though she is a jazz singer. The 2nd or 3rd clue is a problem, but maybe Storf is pointing out that she sang the title track of Roy Ayers' Coffy soundtrack.

Just got my Vault package with a new set of prints.

I just remember Cam as the guy who used to seem a nice host but ended up kicking us out without even saying goodbye. Fiedler at least gave us that what would you do with more time nonsense; Cam was nowhere to be seen those last days.

The 3CD "complete" edition had 12 tracks plus an intro, which translates to a 6LP set with a track per side. They probably have unissued alternate takes from different performances to turn this into a 12LP spectacular.

Getting the master tape is a big challenge with Stevie, who is very protective of his masters and only leases out digital copies for reissues.

They are all nice sessions, but I'm not sure if any is a must-own. Booker Ervin's excellent debut would be my pick if I had to choose one.
