Wu-Tang and Public Enemy arrived yesterday and I just had a chance to listen. Side A of BOTH albums is filled with right-channel static/crackle throughout the entire side. PE might actually be worse than Wu for me.

I’d much prefer Microcastle to Veckatimest, but 1) I think Grizzly Bear is much more on brand for VMP, and 2) the precedent has already been established for Microcastle/Weird Era Cont to be paired together, so the 12 tracks clue is blown out of the water unless they want to put out a subpar...

That Soul Planet is obviously an unexpected monster, but holy hell...STASH!!! One of the best jams I've heard out of a Stash in a long time. Overall, just a fantastic show that's worth repeated listens.

Uninvisible is more straight forward and serves as a good entry point for this period of MMW. The Dropper is more experimental and a more challenging (but rewarding) listen. To each their own, but definitely give both a stream to decide.

Holy shit. They finally did it. I've been bugging VMP for a while now about releasing some MMW. The first 4 albums + Tonic would have been my preference, but these will more than suffice. RKS remasters from original tapes and RTI is an unexpected bonus. Pricing is ridiculous, but I can't say no.
