I think that song actually ends on the upbeat. Like it's 1-and-2-and-3-and-DAH-DAH! in stead of 1-and-2-and-3-and-DAH-DAH-DAH. I feel like that might not translate to the internet, but anyway - fwiw, my copy matches what's on spotify.
Got Willie Bobo and Jorge Ben last night. Bobo is a fun listen (and I mean that in only a very slightly derogatory way) and sounded really good. Mine had a factory defect "scribble" scratch so I put in for a replacement. I agree with others here that the choice of this particular record makes...
Jazz fans: Mike Westbrook - Metropolis is a great, sorta out record with a large ensemble from the deep discount sale.

I switched back to Bobo. Something clicked today for me. It's not transcendental music but it is a lot of fun. Also, I've found that original Verve's don't sound all that great (maybe that's just me) and a AAA/QRP disc is probably going to sound pretty good.
Thanks! This is my last month with the subscription, so I only have one pick but I think I'm leaning toward Shepp because I have a cd of Alice and EU will be available from Now Again down the line.
I think I'm gonna swap Bobo - I'm sure it'll sound great, I just won't listen to it enough. I think I want to swap for either Alice Coltrane, Shepp, or Experience Unlimited. Anybody who has one or all of those 3 have any recommendations?
I am not an expert by any means, but having listened to a bunch of BN lately, it seems like on most stereo recordings, the drums are pretty far to the right. (Sorry not sure if that helps)
