At one point (maybe 15 years ago?) my dad wrote a letter to Klipsch asking similar for some of his Heresy I’s. They actually sent him a few. Not sure about style/series, but no cost. No questions asked.

Actually talking about getting a replacement for the entire woofer. He lists it on the website as “CW1228 12 inch Stamped Steel Frame Woofers”.

I have been debating whether to try the Crites woofers. At 30-ish years old, mine are probably nearing their end-of-life. I may buy them and put them aside just in case. Anyone else done this/looked into this?

I'll have to post some pics later, but I started out with two RF-52 II's, and have now upgraded to a pair of Heresy II's supported by a Klipsch SW12. I have put in the Crites (www.critesspeakers.com) crossovers and have also upgraded the tweeters with the Crites titanium diaphragms. Love 'em.

Heresy III's?

Last night was so bitter sweet. I probably spun Experience Unlimited 4-5 times. It's a great pick. Mine was flat and very quiet. The production/engineering was great. I just hate to see/watch what has happened with VMP. I just cant support them any further.

I think of it as a grassroots record club that bypasses the Corporate middleman. Members have one month to hype an album they feel is "essential" or classically overlooked. We get to play the guessing game complete with hints, etc. If we dig the music, discussion, backstory, we all have the...

This is/would be the best thing to come out of any of this. The curation from members would be unique, diverse and - likely - incredible. I also love the idea that you could support the artist directly, or even send a bit of love to your local brick and mortar if they do online sales. I'm all-in...
