RBF Post-punk, indie rock Melbourne, Australia 5-piece,  Floodlights, dropped their 11-track, 45-minute 3rd LP,  Underneath, and it's quite excellent. Too bad I've not discovered this band before now because they check a lot of boxes for me. I feel like a lot of you on here would enjoy this record.

Right out of the gate this morning, on another huge New Music Friday, Lonnie Holley drops the most powerful album of the year, lyrically, so far, with Tonky. The 9-minute spoken word opening track 'Seeds' had me absolutely drawn in right from the beginning (what an emotional and powerful track)...

I definitely get this! For me, it seems to be common when a band/artist goes through or is transitioning through a stylist change (e.g., when Opeth went from Death Metal to prog rock in 2011 with 'Herigage' - many fans were disappointed. I loved it [and still do], but I love every Opeth album...

You kind of misquoted me. What I originally said was "This is the first time I've checked out a Men I Trust album in real time as it was released". I have checked out Untourbale and Oncle Jazz, after you and @Hollywood recommended the group (or, rather, were praising the new album) back in 2021...

If that play on words with my favorite track off the new album ('Unlike Anything') was on purpose, then well done. If it wasn't, well.. I'm still proud of it.

Apparently Aoife O'Donovan is in a band called I'm With Her.. I had no idea. It's a three-piece folk/americana/bluegrass group. New album out in May. Single was great!
