For me, it's songs standing on their own without the arrangements. With tRotS, all the songs do; with Graceland, two of the 11 struggle for me to stand on their own. It's also why I prefer Bad over Thriller.

Same. One of my friends just did some publishing deal to work with some big names, and it would be great if his voice didn't take on the accent or affect of who he was talking to. Just seems extremely insincere do so.
