Songs for Swingin’ Lovers would be flavored like sweat?

I blame the cd cover

Yeah, I got the CD last week. It’s up on streaming. It is one of my favorite releases from the label at this point.

Both releases so far this year have been outstanding.

That cd cover on allmusic and the generator site kills me. It’s a single slab in vinyl. I guess they were going for the technological marvel? Or did people forget that their CD was a CD and would try to out it on their turntable? I’m going to try to give my vinyl copy a spin today.

I ordered Soul Slabs from Plaid around 8am yesterday. Tacked on that most recent Joe Henderson Top Shelf release cause of sale and free shipping. Easy peasy. I’m glad most (being flippers and fans of whatever artist brings people out every year) folks aren’t interested in the stuff I want.

I went to the record store: +79

This was my thought too.

So… at the record store today… there was a record in the used bin that was 33 1/3 except for the fifth song (end of first side) that was 78. wtf?

So what exactly would the troll get out fo it besides yuks or if it’s just Marr fucking with him?

It’s a mixed bag. He’s not in top form. Some of the songs are decent. It’s funny that this was his big comeback as much of it seems uninspired. Then again, I’ve not listened to all his stuff so maybe this is miles better than the couple before it?

@Joe Mac you think this is better than Vauxhall and I & Your Arsenal? The first song was good. Sadly, timely as well, despite some datedness. It’s not bad just sleepy.
