Woops. Bought a double today and feel foolish (but tbf had a few drinks).

Went back in. Checked both boards and the motor and redid all the connections one more time as well as hitting a lot of the spots with a compressed air gun. and its strangely super quiet. no more high pitched squeals.

Replaced both boards they sent me. Wheel is not spinning. Going to reopen it and double check everything, but also just check around the rest of the machine for damage or something looking odd.

They got back to me over the weekend with the instructions sheet. Thank you though! Just waiting on my amazon order of screwdrivers to arrive and then I'm going to try repairing today.

Thanks for the help. Tried every screwdriver I have in this apartment and none are the right size/long enough to reach the screws all the way in the base. Now to buy a bunch of screwdrivers off amazon till I get the right one.

Humminguru parts arrived, but the link with installation instructions expired 😭 I emailed them, but I doubt they get back to me before the weekend starts. I may try and freehand this. It's only 2 parts.

the parts I ordered from Humminguru have hit LA and I should have my cleaner back up and running very soon. The pile of records that needs to be cleaned has just been getting bigger and bigger.

Lucked out and found a Bill Evans record, but sadly no Talking Heads. Still eluding me.

Are people still interested in others used outers? I sold a lot of records in 2024 and ended up with a bunch of outers (the shop just tosses them so I figured I’d hold onto them) but I’ve also switched to sealable sleeves so I’ve got a bunch of Diskeeper thick sleeves. The good stuff.

Man that talking heads record really went fast and is already up on discogs for 75+. Welp. Really struck out this year on everything.

yeah since they're in china im on a 24 hour delay from their initial email to my response and so on and so forth. they just sent me how much its going to cost to get the PCB and the doo-hickey that spins the wheels that needs to be replaced (about $50 USD). Just waiting on the invoice hopefully...
