I kind of forgot about Audiomods until I just came across one of their Rega based arms in another forum. Looks like they've made some design updates. Would be interesting to hear one of these on a 1200g.

Given the age, I would also check to see if the plinth is straight. It looks like that might be an MDF plinth, which will undoubtedly corrode over time. Especially if it's been exposed to humidity or temperature changes. If that's the case, it's likely more trouble than it's worth to fix it.

I think Fremer's statement was the only one to go on record saying that he feels the 1300 is better than the 1200. Every other review (including those that use them in A/B testing) feel differently.

I didn't count the SP-10R because it's not a ready to play solution direct from Technics. Yes, it's $10k... with no plinth and no arm. So I think the line still has plenty of room for a 1100/1000G concept. I do agree that we'll see a 1200G2 at some point. And I'd guess a $4500 price on that...
