Once again, it's time to assess the damage, lol (past evolution for reference). Only a DAC and speaker change, not bad all things considered.

An OG in decent condition was getting a bit pricey, but this will do. One more Chameleons album to track down and they're done. :)

@Vinyl&Kicks86 had asked earlier in this thread about these pressings. Cut by Levi Seitz mastered at RTI and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing, said to be the "best" sounding versions, or better at this point. I have no point of reference with any of them, but did pick up Ride the Lighting at...

I don't find this interesting, I'd lean more towards obvious. ;)

Mine got here yesterday as well, in LP boxes too. And for the record, both Master of Puppets and Metallica - Metallica were the Levi pressings :)

I love The Doors, but my hate is more towards companies pressing the same titles over and over and over and over again with a new wrinkle. Those YouTubers out there comparing 12 pressings of the same album are ruining it for everyone ;)

This is pretty much the dice you roll purchasing from Target/Walmart and even Amazon at times. I decided to grab some Metallica for the collection and picked up Ride the Lightning at Walmart, which is an RTI, so we'll see.

Meh, nothing earth shattering for me, got some stuff off the back burner want list. The Metallica's should be the RTI pressings :)
