There really is nothing like listening to an album for the 1,000th time and hearing something completely new.

I have a feeling there will be stock that continues to show up, but definitely one that caught my eye at how quick it was “selling out” the day of release. I too have not been ordering much before the actual release date, but this one got me.

They’re one of my favorite bands of all time, and probably one of the artists I have a lot of in my collection where every single release (OG or reissue) sounds awesome. Even the solo project stuff sounds great - those recent Jerry Harrison and Byrne RSD releases sound phenomenal.

Stores in this area didn’t get many - largest one around (Tunes in Hoboken, you may be familiar) only got 4 copies. Had to go there as I didn’t preorder and only know of one other local that does “day of” new releases.

Stop Making Sense reissue sounds pretty f’in great! Certainly beats the ‘84 copy I’ve got. Super quiet and flat, too.

We know it’s a Fania record. KG did an AAA “Barretto Power” a few years ago, but a color variant would be pretty meh. They hinted at it being a “crate digger” album, so my hunch is “Acid.” If they did that, it may be my favorite ROTM ever.

Agreed. Only one I’m looking forward to is Ray Barretto. Hopefully it’s Acid, one of my top ISOs.

On the ROTM thread, pinned is a spreadsheet of everything. Pretty much the only reason I ever go on there is to check that.

I don’t think it’s BS - they are all pretty much confirmed on the Discord (at least the artists for all, a few albums aren’t confirmed). I look at the hint channel like once a month and happened to see it the other day and was surprised at how much was already guessed/talked about on the discord...
