First three nights of MSG were killer - they’re at the top of their game right now. Looking forward to what’s in store this week! The Dozen had some great weekday shows…

They’ve used Plangent going back many years now, I think with pretty much every release. They’ve for sure done every studio album, and technically all were remastered from the tapes using the process. https://airshowmastering.com/how-airshow-remastered-the-grateful-dead-studio-albums/ Whatever...

I’d be shocked if they re-did it and didn’t use the plates from 2017. Just looked it up and the hype sticker on the box set said “Remastered by Glasser” and “Produced by Lemiuex,” done Plangent and cut by CB. Would seem redundant to do it all again with the same crew just 6 years later.

Is it different than the GD Studio Album box set which were Plangent? Can’t remember who mastered/cut those.

Knowing the people who run the shop, I could totally see them calling them out. They’re always hammering people to stop asking for discounts because their prices are already so low. They’re good people and true collectors. But, looking at the seller’s eBay, he seems to sell the exact stuff that...

Yeah, same here. @MikeH and I were talking about this earlier in the thread, but the guy asking $330 bought that last week from a great shop here in NJ, who always prices stuff very fairly. They probably had it for around $200 or just below. He bought it just to flip. I actually messaged him...

I am only missing “Joyous” from them, so I opted to include that. Figured it’d make it a little better..

Currently putting a few together for Station One too haha. Honestly I only bring them my mid-to-high tier stuff ($20+) because they get so much good stuff and price it so affordably. But my experience with them over the years is that they’ll always pay 50% cash if it’s good/desirable. Hard to beat.

Outside of these forums and Reddit, online selling just isn’t worth the hassle for most stuff. Brought a bunch of older used stuff to a local that was very appreciative of the stock and gave me $500 in credit. Even if I could have gotten more for some of it, it was not even worth the commission...

Yup, same. Probably the most excited I’ve been about a reissue, and very happy Jazz Dispensary is doing it. Their top shelf series has been phenomenal.

Absolutely. Based on the eBay price, and it being in really good shape, I’m guessing ~$200 or so. If it was more than $250, that guy is going to for certain lose money. Maybe he’ll learn his lesson!
