I’m a school psychologist at high school level. I was interviewing a kid for his IEP. He is in the mariachi band at school and gigs outside of school. I was telling him that he’ll always have music till he’s very old. Then I mentioned Marshal’s first solo album, and then naturally Sun Ra.

It’s not often that I get to talk to the kids I work with about Sun Ra, but today was one of those days.

We used to tease my friend’s dad about their youngest. I remember being at their house when they announced it to my two friends. Whenever the baby acted up, we would mutter under our voices “god dam condom” just to tease their dad.

Just finished. They brought them back together to play and discuss their career together. It’s nice to see them be creative together again. A lot of reflection on being creative and their career together. I wouldn’t say it goes deep or really specific into stuff. It’s definitely worth the $14...
