    Pre-Order Thread

This whole thread is confusing me right now. So let's get back on track. Anyone pre-order any natural disasters today?

Also, another tip from one of my regrets...if you enter through the indoor walk way through the Venetian you won't get to see the exterior up close. It takes you right into the lobby.

I will say, I don't have Vertigo but I have a severe fear of heights. I wouldn't sit higher than the 300 level if that would apply to you. The worst for me would have been the escalators getting up to my section but I used an elevator no problem. There was only one song during U2 that felt...

I believe @threesunrises had the exact same concerns and had a great time. Maybe they can chime in?

I saw U2 there. It was definitely an experience.

I like this album, but honestly it just makes me want to listen to Toad the Wet Sprocket for some reason. I don't now if anyone else associates them but I always thought both bands sound similar but Toad the West Sprocket's singles had a little extra to them.

The Official Needles and Grooves 1001 Album Generator Project (aka Preachin’ about the Preachers if today’s selection sucks)

I guess I kind of knew their reputation. I just didn't know if this album was an instant hit like The Beatles. I don't know if it's Mick Jagger's voice or just their general style but there's always been something about The Rolling Stones that never pulled me in like other classic British...

The Official Needles and Grooves 1001 Album Generator Project (aka Preachin’ about the Preachers if today’s selection sucks)

So, what was the general reaction to this album when it first came out? It sounds very plain to me. Although you could say the first Beatles album sounds pretty plain too but it sparked a whole thing.

I don't like the Rolling Stones enough to go through an album twice. 😬

Ah, ok. Apple Music has both then. I will listen to the British version to be official.

Apparently, with the exception of a few, bands inspired by Big Star are just as big of a blind spot as Big Star for me. Beside REM who is a top 5 band for me, most of that list falls into the "I've heard of that guy/band" territory for me.

So basically any indie leaning band with the slightest country tinge?

The dumb fuck doesn't realize that there's a reason we import metal and lumber from Canada. And it's not because we don't want to make it in America.

Who would be an example of bands that were trying to sound like Big Star. I didn't get any sense of one album of any obvious "oh yeah, this sounds a lot like...."

Immerse Your Soul In Love - The Radiohead Thread

The songs from this sound interesting. But maybe just work on another Radiohead album?
