I was thinking of switching from mostly online to record store purchases also. I have a decent shop close by and would rather support them than online retailers. And I definitely make more impulse purchases online vs. when I actually have to take my wallet out to pay.

This is a great idea! I've been planning to put a hold on making new record purchases until I can actually listen to everything I already have. Hoping this thread will keep me motivated thorugh Jan and maybe beyond.

I struck out looking for Matt Nathanson's Some Mad Hope this morning at my local shop. If anyone sees it and can pick it up let me know. It's my wife's favorite Nathanson album and she'd be thrilled to get it.
